Upcoming Games of 2011 (By Month)

Before you drink that gallon of spiked eggnog and drunkenly ruin a child’s Christmas by telling him or her that there is no Santa, remember to save any holiday money for your 2011 gaming habit. As of right now, next year is packing quite a punch. So if little Timmy wants an iPad from Old Saint Nick, just give him a notepad and a pen so you can save that cash for these new releases.

Here is a list of the big games coming out in 2011 (no guarantee it’s complete)! I compiled this for the lazy in you and the bored in me.

I cross-referenced these dates with several websites to try to be as accurate as possible, but there’s always room for mistakes (especially when it’s me). Let me know if something is amiss or if a certain game is missing altogether! But before you go spamming me for not including one of your most anticipated titles, remember that some games were pushed back to 2012.

So much for the outside world; gamers will certainly be too occupied to experience it.

Are there any kinect games announced for 2011 yet, apart from star wars?

December 27th, 2010 at 18:31 by Esmeralda

That I could find: Child of Eden and Michael Jackson: The Experience will be compatible with Kinect. There’s also a probable SpongeBob SquarePants game (hah, who’s not excited about this?) and UFC Trainer.

I hope you werent being sarcastic about the spongebob game, that would be the highlight of my kinect time playing that! 😀

The new Steel Battalion game (the one that on old X-Box came with a dedicated 3ft long 50 button controller and pedals), is going to be on Kinect apparently.

How that will work? Who knows?!?

2011 looks great most anticipated games for me are:
Dead Space 2 ,Bulletstorm,Crysis 2,LA Noire ,Portal 2,Red Faction Armageddon,RAGE,Mass Effect 3,Duke Nukem Forever ,Battlefield 3.
Without delays 2011 wold be one of the best years in gaming ever but looking at the past 2 years probably half of the games on this list will be pushed to 2012.

Nice list 🙂
Looking forward to Batman:AC, Crysis 2, Mass Effect 2, KillZone 3, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, LBP2, Bulletstorm, TES V and InFamous 2.

2011 is going to suck for my wallet 🙂

BTW. Should FF XIV be on the “UNKNOWN” list?
SE delayed the PS3 version, but it should (?) come out this year?

Twisted Metal for the PS3 comes out March 31st 2011 according to Gamestop and Gamefly.

December 28th, 2010 at 12:38 by Esmeralda

Gamestop and Gamefly added dates to several of these games that have not been confirmed by the official publishers or developers. I believe they do this just as an estimation. I’ve found errors in Gamestop dates overall so I try not to go by those.

So until there is an official press release from games like Twisted Metal, then it’s still just “TBA 2011.”

Its not complete. You missed Mindjack for Jan 18,2011 and venetica for the ps3 jan 11,2011.

Those are the games I’m looking forward to including DS2 & DCUO from that month.

December 28th, 2010 at 12:41 by Esmeralda

I never claimed it was complete (despite someone on N4G linking my article stating it is) 🙂 As for those games you mentioned, they’ve been added, but I probably missed them because they’re not big anticipated titles – Not trying to put the games down, just listing a reason for why those and any other games I may have missed are not on here. Thanks!

Sorry. That was why I say it wasn’t complete, cause somebody linked it that way. You have Venetica as the 4th but gamestop(US) has it as the 11th. Great list!

Gamestop’s dates are not always reliable. As I told someone above, “Gamestop and Gamefly added dates to several of these games that have not been confirmed by the official publishers or developers. I believe they do this just as an estimation. I’ve found errors in Gamestop dates overall so I try not to go by those.” Over 3 sites I visited confirmed the 4th 🙂

I love the fact that Duke Nukem Forever has joined another years TBC section. I remember it being previewed in a PC Gamer magazine in ’98. If he isn’t out of gum by now then I’m a starfish.
