Mass Effect 3 Closure
I woke up this morning knowing there was something I had to do before heading into work today. Something very important. Staring at my PS3 for a minute made me remember that today was the day we’d get answers from Bioware in the form of additional cutscenes. I immediately jumped up and ran to my controller, only to be greeted by a system update. So YouTube it is.

Get Ready for ZombiU
Read More
I’m sure there was a collective sigh when a zombie appeared on the screen at the Ubisoft press conference. We’ve been bombarded with zombies these past couple of years, and although there is some great material out there like The Walking Dead, there’s still a saturation. However, the ZombiU trailer took us all by surprise (especially those poor souls in England). -
Fun Stabbing with Assassin’s Creed 3
The Assassin’s Creed franchise had quite the appearance at E3 this year; what with the trailers for the third title blowing everyone away at the press conferences and the reveal of Assassin’s Creed: Liberation giving us something to look forward to on the Vita. Yep, this show Ubisoft had their golden geese front and center, and succeeded in stealing some of our attention.

My Thoughts on the Rest of the Conferences
For those of you still winding down from E3, I decided to give you all something to read in the meantime. Now that E3 is over and done with, I actually have a chance to write my thoughts on how the show went this year. I would have written something on the other conferences sooner, but you’d be surprised how hard it is to manage time for such tasks when you’re on the move.

My Thoughts on the Xbox Conference
The Microsoft conference was the first press event today to kick off the E3 excitement, and it delivered enough content to keep us entertained early in the morning (well, morning for us on the West coast). A breakdown of what was presented can be found here, but I’ll list what I liked and disliked from the conference for those of you at home that care 😉

Esme’s Anticipated Games of E3 2012
Turns out I will be attending this year’s E3 extravaganza, though I was very unsure of this earlier in the month. Luckily Machinima was able to snag me a badge after all, though it wasn’t for editorial purposes. Despite my responsibilities being different for this year’s event, I’ll be doing my best to stalk developers and bother booth babes like I was destined to.
This is my third year attending E3, and the excitement for it all is still there. Though it’s funny that only a few months ago everyone was stating they were boycotting this year’s E3 because of SOPA, but I guess we all have short attention spans.
Like everyone else, I like to speculate on what’s going to happen and what I’m looking forward to seeing on the show floor. While I’m sure we’re in for some great game coverage, I’m very disappointed that Bioshock Infinite won’t be making an appearance at this year’s expo. Bioshock Infinite was the game I wanted to see more from, but I understand what Irrational Games is doing.
So let’s start with the games that are on my “must see” list:

Get Over It
Life is full of many obstacles, and you don’t need to read a random blog to know that. There’s many aspects in our lives that cause much stress, but nothing is more deterring than obstacles we place ourselves. Hurdles that we’ve allowed to just manifest themselves, and that we can’t seem to remove or jump over. I believe these types of road blocks are tougher to get rid of, and the biggest road block I face now is doubt.
Doubt is a powerful force. One shred of doubt is potentially all you need to completely tear away the confidence in your work, and what can set you many steps back. Everyone is guilty of having some doubt, but when you let it consume you, it’s very harmful. It’s something that stops any progress you could be making in your life, and it’s something I’m dealing with now.
